Lantern Lit Winter Adventure
Fayette Historic State Park is a wonder to behold in the daytime with its 20 historic buildings filled with tales of the iron smelting community that once lived there. It is a photographers paradise as well as a beautiful destination for families, history buffs, and adventure seekers.
The lantern lit snowshoe held on January 25th proved just as incredible as the daytime adventures found on the grounds of Fayette. It was a perfectly eery night, with fog to haze the lantern lit path along the way and a dimly moonlit view of Big Bay de Noc through the trees.
The path ended at a cozy community bonfire where trail lovers sat close to share stories and connect over the beautiful state park. I can’t wait to travel back down US 2 come spring and explore the grounds of Fayette with the view of a new season.
